UNC Fix my room
Created a new mockup of the Fix My Room Form that UNC students use to request maintenance. A project with Finance and Operations at UNC.
my Redesign
In my redesign of the UNC Fix My Room Request Forms, I logically reformatted the form design, simplified the user flow to fit into two possible paths (ONYEN vs. no ONYEN), reduced unnecessary information, and increased consistency in visual design.
Instead of having three possible options for entering the form (I have a UNC-affiliated ONYEN, I am not affiliated with UNC but live in student/family housing, I am a client affiliated with Carolina Housing), the options were simplified to either possessing an ONYEN or not
Margins, padding, and gaps were made consistent between items
Warning banner and informational paragraph were condensed to convey information in a more straightforward manner
Instead of having descriptions next to input fields, fields are filled with example inputs before the user enters information
Form is designed with a logical, vertical flow instead of being divided into two columns
